For several decades Shannon has worked in the commercial and fine art photography fields. Illustration was her way to work out ideas and plan out intricate compositing layouts.
When she wasn't in the middle of a big photography project, she was sketching botanicals for textile designs, creating a new greeting card for the next family holiday or running a small business creating handmade Zen Gardens.
After working exclusively freelance since 2010 in commercial photography studios and out of her home studio, she finally decided to dedicate herself to the thing that was giving her the most joy and satisfaction.
Her illustration work is done predominantly in Photoshop CC and she will occasionally work in Affinity designer. Her intense work ethic was solidified during her years at Parsons School of Design during the late 80's and early 90's.
"Doing what I love everyday rarely feels like work, and I believe this translates in my illustration work and in my interactions with my clients throughout my career."
